Clean your hands, then wash the syringe and silicone tip. Fill the syringe with saline or physiological solution. Attach the silicone nasal tip to the syringe. Place the child in a sitting position. Older children may lean over the sink or basin. Gently introduce the solution into one nostril. Repeat this step in the other nostril. Gently wipe baby's nose. If the child is older, encourage him/her to blow his/her nose gently. Cleaning the nasal cavities (to be validated by a healthcare professional): We recommend using sterile saline solution (0.9% sodium chloride) or physiological saline. Conventional water is strongly discouraged, as it can cause pain and damage to the nasal mucosa. Volumes of saline solution per nostril: Between 4 and 6 months: 10 to 15 ml. Between 6 and 12 months: 20 ml. Between 12 and 24 months: 20 ml. From 24 months: 20 to 30 ml. Frequency: - 1 to 2 times a day as a preventive measure. - 3 to 6 times a day in the event of nasal congestion. Keep out of reach of children.
