Eclaé is a brand born in the South of France, at the gateway to the fortified city of Aigues-Mortes. This is a wild and privileged land: the Aigues-Mortes salt marsh in the Camargue. In the heart of this unspoilt ecosystem, salt has been harvested since Antiquity. Once a royal concession, the Aigues-Mortes saltworks have belonged to the Compagnie des Salins du Midi since 1856.
Unique in the world, the Aigues-Mortes salt marsh in the Camargue region boasts exceptional biodiversity. Aware of this richness, Compagnie des Salins du Midi is committed to responsible development, working day after day to promote the site’s ecological balance and maintain conditions favorable to the reproduction of thousands of migratory birds and protected species. The Eclaé brand seeks to enhance the value of this ecosystem, using the micro-algae present in the salt marshes as natural, complete anti-aging active ingredients in its skincare products.
